Inspired by Courage

My dear friend, Amanda Lyn, just released her 'Timeless' EP. (Actually, I think I got an advanced copy, but it will be releasing soon!) And it is fantastic! Great Rockabilly Sound, wonderful lyrics and an amazing collection of talented musicians. I've really been enjoying it. But more than the music, I am inspired by her courage. The courage she has to believe in real, unconditional love, the courage to show her heart and soul to the world, the courage to live her truth, to follow her dream, and to continue to love, even when she is scared. Her "Timeless" CD is a love letter that she is sending out into the Universe, with no guarantee that it will be understood, appreciated or respected,.... but she sent it out anyway. Heart and soul, authentic and bold, she is speaking her truth,... and it's beautiful. The courage, the realness, the music and the message, is all beautiful.

I am inspired by her courage and it has made me realize that I have been holding back. I share my thoughts and reflections with the Beautiful Souls Membership Group, and yes, I've shared my music with the world, but not recently. In the past year or two I've written many songs and also poems that I've kept mostly to myself, not ready to share this side of me.

Yesterday I got brave and shared a poem I wrote, called, This Fragile Human Form. I posted it here in my blog. It's part of my own story of love. I am inspired by Amanda's courage and feel emboldened to share my truth, my story, my soul's message. Therefore, I have decided to share my writings here in this blog, and will share my new songs in YouTube ....eventually.

And I am going to start right now, with something I wrote in December of 2016;

"Once again I find myself
As if under a spell
Your words are golden strands
Weaving their enchantment and
Cast like a fisherman's net
Into the ocean of my heart
Sinking down into my soul
And then gathering up
All that is noble and beautiful
Every precious gem
Carefully drawn up
From the depths of my existAnce
Gently ferried through the waves
Until arriving at last
Upon the safe shores
Of your warm embrace"

So, tell me... who inspires you? What steps of courage are you taking these days? I want to inspire you to be courageously authentic and fiercely devoted to reaching your highest good, for the highest good of all. Show your talents, share your gifts, speak your truth, and shine your light. The world is waiting for your magic. Let's support each other on this journey.

And hey... check out Amanda Lyn's music... it's great!
